Constant care and extra peace of mind

A live-in carer offers ongoing, dedicated support on your own terms, all in the comfort of your own home. Each care plan is different and created in a way that’s completely unique to your needs.

After meeting to learn more about you and your support needs, you’ll choose your ideal carer match from a selection of profiles, handpicked by our team of experts. Once agreed, this fully trained and checked carer will be there to provide the support you need day and night, staying in a spare room in your home.

Find out more about how we find the right carer for you in our four steps below. Or drop us a line and we can talk you through the process and the options for your family.

How live-in care works, in four easy steps:

After speaking over the phone, we will arrange for your local care specialist to visit you or a loved one to find out more about the level of support you’re looking for.

The person who visits will become your dedicated contact – they will create your care plan, manage your carer and regularly check to see how things are going. He or she will be on the end of the phone should you need anything.

After your visit, your care specialist will create your individual care plan. This plan will outline everything discussed at your assessment, including your daily routines, likes, dislikes, medication and your circle of support, among many other things.

At this stage the final cost of your care package will also be confirmed, based on your support requirements.

Finding the right match is one of the most important parts of the process. Aside from matching you with someone who has the right experience, we place special importance on finding the right personality fit. In fact, many live-in carers become more like friends.

Every one of our carers has gone through an intensive selection and training process, including police checks. Coming in all shapes and sizes, and of varying ages and backgrounds, they all share one thing in common: a genuine desire to help someone live independently at home.

Your new live-in carer will arrive at the agreed time to start your care plan. Your care specialist can be there to make introductions, go through the care plan and make sure that you as a family are all comfortable. This will all be discussed with you beforehand.

Unlike introductory care agencies, your local care specialist is available to regularly review your care plan and ensure you’re happy with the support you’re receiving. They also manage your live-in carer, organise any extra training needed and arrange a relief carer when your main carer takes a break.
